Meet the Engineer Behind Kumukoa AI

MIT-trained, ex-Google engineer from Kamehameha '16 — back in Hawaii to help local businesses put AI to work. Here's why and how.

Aloha Hawai’i! I’m Aramis, the founder of Kumukoa AI. I wanted to use this post to introduce myself and what I’m looking to accomplish with Kumukoa AI.

I was born and raised in Hawai’i, graduating from Kamehameha with the class of 2016. After studying software engineering at MIT with a focus in AI, I spent years building production systems at Google and ZipRecruiter.

I’ve recently returned home from the mainland, and I’m excited to start this venture to guide Hawai’i businesses into the future!

Why I Started Kumukoa AI

I’m a software engineer by trade, and AI has already disrupted my job. AI has written all of my code for months at this point. Tasks that used to take days are now done in less than an hour, and I’m able to take on far more ambitious projects than ever before.

However, this change didn’t happen overnight. It takes time to integrate AI into your daily workflow and build out the systems and processes that enable you to hand off large swaths of work to AI.

I’ve spent the years keeping up with the latest trends, trialing new workflows, and learning where AI fits into business operations — and now I want to share that hard-earned knowledge with Hawai’i businesses.
